Agility: The University of Alabama’s Continuous Improvement Program

Given the directive to “bring process improvement to the university” four and a half years ago, Rainey Way and Carolina Vega will tell the story of how Agility came to be two years later. They will cover the ongoing plan, the inevitable pain points, the supporters and detractors, where they are now, and where they are going in the pursuit of practicing lean higher education at the University of Alabama. More importantly, they will share their lessons learned throughout in hopes of helping others establish or expand lean higher education at their institutions.
