Where Hollywood Meets Higher Education

This session will introduce a homegrown short film produced by a faculty member of the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and Carey Business Schools in collaboration with divisional multi-media teams. The media is currently being utilized as a case study simulation for a Johns Hopkins Carey Business School executive education course focused on operations management/continuous improvement. The film is was produced to mimic Hollywood’s latest approach for maximizing viewer engagement, namely “breaking the fourth wall.” The session will provide a behind the scenes look at how the film was created, and its impact on pedagogical innovation.
